We Party!

One thing we do together that most people would advise couples not to do is:

We Party Together!

Funny how we find joy in hitting the club together and just enjoying the music while laughing at others around us.

1st Photo

So excited to be tagged in the 1st photo from the wedding day by ShutterPix.

What an efficient photographer Charles from ShutterPix is.

Did we mention that we share that Fit Jazz Club connection with him too? Pity we didn't get acquittance back then.

Mr & Mrs Ang Food Trip

Flying off after we have settled all the wedding stuff since he is on 1 week leave.

This is NOT the honeymoon yet.

It's just a trip for us to replenish all that food we didn't get to eat during our wedding lunch due to us being busy entertaining our guest.

The Night Before

The bridal room is all set up with the customary stuff.

The wedding is tomorrow!

Bridal Car

Since we were doing most of the things ourselves without seeking out a bridal studio, we went to our favourite florist at Kovan Market to get our bridal flowers done.

Even the car decorations was done by the same stall.

The car decorations were done in an hour and cost us S$350.

Bridal Nails

Friends who know Justina will know that the Bride loves her nails with plenty of blings.

So it's of not surprise when she got her nails done up looking like this:

The way it sparkles just shows the Bride's style.

With the nails done, it only means that the wedding is here!

Collection of Suits & Gowns

Collected our Suits & Gowns today from Bridal Affairs.

This only means one thing:
We are 1 day away from THE WEDDING!

Wedding Props: Letters from Typo

We decided that the Letters from Typo is too mainstream.

So we sprayed some glitters on it.

Can't tell in photos but it's pretty.

[DIY] Wedding Advice & Wishes Cards

Justina specially created these cards for the guest to write well-wishes on the wedding day.

The cards received overwhelming response from fellow bride-to-be on online forums. But nothing is more personalised than recycling baskets from the ROM wedding for the Actual Day.

Do write your well-wishes for the Bride and Groom on the wedding day.

DIY PROCESS:

Materials used:
- Kraft Paper
- Corner Paper Cutter

Use corner cutter to give kraft paper a unique touch.

Corner cutter used on the white advice slip for further design.

Everything from Daiso

Ok, maybe not everything is from Daiso.

But Justina is going to Daiso so frequently these days, it has become her second home!

It's all worth it when she found some make-up for the gatecrash

and kraft paper bags for the Favors Table.

Someone please stop Justina from going to Daiso again.

[DIY] Photobooth Props

In the past week as Justina prepares the overall, she had found time between waiting for the overalls to dry... to work on these:

Look out for these photobooth props at the wedding and feel free to use them to take a photo.

Shawn's AD Shirts

And we found a good deal for Shawn's shirt to be worn on the actual day, complete with pleats on the chest.

G2000: 2nd shirt at 40% discount

We spent only S$120 for 2 shirts that looked very good for suits and fits well.

[Traditions] 过大礼 - Betrothal

Betrothal, or 过大礼 in mandarin, is the formalities performed by the groom to bind both families together, and it shows the sincerity of the Groom to the Bride’s family.

Traditionally, this process is done two to three months before the distribution of invitation cards where a senior relative will accompany the groom to present the “Pin Jin” 聘金 and the pre-discussed gifts to the bride’s family.

Nowadays this process is usually done two to three weeks before the wedding day and a good friend can also accompany the groom.

For our 过大礼. it happened 2 weeks before the wedding.
And Shawn's mum was busy getting everything ready weeks before the day.

Tradition Teochew biscuits collected the day before.

过大礼 and Actual Day related items sourced from the wedding shops.

Our 过大礼 date was an auspicious date picked by the Master You. There was even an auspicious time of between 09:00AM to 11:00AM.

Since the time was rather early and most of Shawn's close friends were either still in bed or staying at the far East, we decided to settle everything ourselves.

Shawn come by Justina's place alone.

Auspicious items that Shawn brought over to Justina's place.

"Red Cloth" for hanging at our doorstep was beautifully wrapped.

Prayers done at the Groom's Grandpa place

[DIY] Gatecrash Overalls

Justina had been busy getting the overalls for the gatecrash into their favourite colors.

The overalls are originally white. Color dye were bought from ArtFriends.

The 1st batch was the purple.

The purple looking good when done.

The next batch was the light blue.

All the overalls done and ready for the wedding.

Justina completed dyeing 25 overalls in 5 working days and developed some muscles in the process.

This is all for the sake of better photo-effect on the wedding day.

Let's hope the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen love it too!

Bridesmaids Meet + Hen's (High-Tea) Party

[By Justina]

We are left with too little time to have a proper Hen's Party.

To save time, it was best to have a 2-in-1 gathering:
Bridesmaids Meet + Hen's (High-Tea) Party

We met up at Fosters English Rose Cafe for a light tea session.

Brought the little Bridesmaid Kit which I prepared for the girls

It was heart-warming to gather all my favourite girls together and watch them click so easily.
I was also very excited to watch the girls react to the bridesmaid dress I chose for them.

Counting down 3 weeks to see my girls in my favourite PURPLE!
